In this home we stand for …

Learning -- Formal and informal. By doing, by reading, by making mistakes. We are curious explorers of the world. We are informed. We value truth and we know it takes effort to go beyond the headlines to arrive at real knowledge.

Courage -- To be our true selves no matter what. We take a stand. It isn’t easy to speak out against injustice. To defend the vulnerable, but we know it is mighty brace to do the right thing, especially when it’s unpopular.

Kindness -- To ourselves first, knowing that we are imperfect beings, worthy of love. We recognize that only through compassion for others can we know what it means to be fully human.

Mindfulness -- Because by paying attention to the big and the small, we will know gratitude and come to appreciate the fullness of life, the richness of experience that is all around us.

Empathy -- Listening without judgement. Taking the time to understand someone else’s suffering. Respect. We respect other viewpoints and expect nothing less for ourselves.

Hard Work -- Because life isn’t easy--none of this is easy--but we know when we work together, when we support each other, when we have each other’s backs, we can be the architects of our wildest dreams.”
