Beyond it's role as the March birthstone, Aquamarine is named from the Latin words aqua (water) and marina (sea), capturing the soothing, clear blue color of the ocean and a cloudless spring sky. Aquamarine symbolizes serenity, courage, clarity, protection, and calm communication.
