Beyond it's role as an alternative (to Diamond) April birthstone, Herkimer diamonds are actually rare, naturally double-terminated quartz crystals found in Herkimer County, New York and named for their diamond-like sparkle and shape. As a form of pure quartz, it symbolizes soul purity, high vibrational light, and a positive aura.
