Handmade Necklace with prong set agatized coral on a strand of champagne pearls

We are swooning over the soft, neutral, beige-y tan color palette of this piece!

A 1-1/2" tall agatized coral teardrop stone is set with a customer-made faceted silver wire prong setting and hangs 2" from a strand of round 5mm champagne pearls hand-knotted on tan silk, measuring 20" with a 2" extender for the perfect fit!

Agatized coral occurs naturally when silica in ocean water hardens, replacing the limey corals with Agate, a variety of Chalcedony. This long fossilization process (20–30 million years) results in the formation of a "pseudomorph," meaning that one mineral has replaced another without having lost its original form. Agatized Coral soothes and quiets turbulent emotions. It reminds us to breathe deeply and to step back and look at the situation logically and from a neutral mind.

To prevent stretching, please do not hang, pull, or dampen your hand-knotted silk necklaces.
