Educate ME Foundation, Inc. is a social enterprise determined to increase the number of men and women of color in the field of education.
An organization is only as good as its people. Ensuring that all part and full-time employees are paid a competitive wage is essential. One of the most vital positions for the 22-23 Teacher Diversity Initiative is the role of Recruitment Specialist. Indianapolis has a full-time project lead that manages all client and operational aspects of this initiative. The funds will be used toward the annual salary for that position.

To serve Indiana’s children and families by providing legal education, child advocacy, and family visitation through our programs.
Grant funds directly support the foster youth in the Older Youth Initiatives (OYI) Program, filling financial gaps for activities and fees essential for development of social capital and successful transition to adulthood, such as driver’s education, college and trade school applications, and extra-curricular activities and programs.

St. Mary’s Early Childhood Center is a not-for-profit agency that offers two early childhood initiatives to positively impact the futures of young children: The Preschool Program and The Professional Development Program.
Silver Linings Funds will support the hunger relief program of Society of St. Andrew (SoSA) from the farm to the food banks and local hunger relief agencies. This grant will be used to cover the cost of gleaning and the distribution of fresh produce in Central Indiana.

Outreach Unlimited strives to provide resources and programs to overcome obstacles their community faces in order to break the cycle of living in poverty. For awareness building in partnership with the Harrison Center, a community-based nonprofit arts organization that seeks to be a catalyst for renewal in Indianapolis. As many in downtown Indianapolis know, the Harrison Center maintains a billboard at the intersection of North Delaware Street and 16th Street as a “frame” for local, place-based art. “take over” its billboard for the entire month of September in order to raise awareness of the organization, its mission, and its services among the YYA passing through this area who could benefit from Outreach’s services as well as the young professionals living in the area who might wish to volunteer or donate to Outreach.

Irvington Counseling Collective is making mental health support accessible and equitable regardless of socioeconomic status.
Their Silver Linings Fund grant will directly help BIPOC residents in Marion County through the BIPOC Mental Wellness Fund, created to lessen gaps in mental health disparities; to support healing practices that are individualized, attuned and relevant, and defined by the person who is healing.

Grassroot Projects empowers under-resourced immigrant children in the Indianapolis and Seattle areas. For immigrant, refugee and undocumented families, parents are most concerned with feeding and clothing their children.
This Silver Lining Fund grant helps provide direct support in the form of grocery gift cards because only when children's basic needs are met, are they given the chance to thrive, achieve success and simply enjoy their childhoods. The funds will be used to provide $100 grocery gift cards to 25 immigrant and/or refugee families with children with an estimated 4-6 person household.

Women4Change Indiana starts by activating Hoosiers to get involved—whether that be by learning about local legislature, volunteering their time for a cause they believe in, or simply committing to educating themselves on issues across Indiana.
Silver Linings funding will support their Listen, Connect, and Participate quarterly program. Our diverse volunteer outreach committee hosts these dynamic conversations on key topics such as sexual harassment and financial stability. Experts and bipartisan female legislators always lead these conversations. This program is educational with varying topics depending on what is most important for Hoosier women. It is a moderated community discussion featuring two subject matter experts along with one Republican and one Democrat (elected or appointed) leader. The proposed topics for their third and fourth quarters in 2022.

91 place is a home for homeless youth on the near east side of Indianapolis; offering community, relationships and a familial environment through a transitional housing program.
Their Silver Linings fund will be used for their food budget for the home. Every day, they provide 3 meals plus snacks to 7 people, plus they have community dinners where they invite youth form the community to share dinner. Within their food budget, they also buy groceries for youth in the community who are in need of emergency groceries.
